About Jen

My Story

Hi, I’m Jen, and I’m so glad you’re here.

For more than 30 years, I’ve been learning about friendship the way most of us do: by living it. I’ve had friends who became family, friendships that quietly faded without either of us quite knowing why, and a few goodbyes that blindsided me and broke my heart. Every one of them taught me something.

Along the way, I’ve been a wife for more than three decades and a mom to two daughters, who are now grown women with friendships of their own.

Professionally, I’ve spent my whole career around people. I studied Communication and Organizational Management, worked in Human Resources, owned small businesses, and led teams of more than 100 employees. I completed graduate-level coursework in family and marriage counseling, and completed coursework to hear my certificate as a Relationship Coach.

But honestly? My best credentials are the lessons life taught me. Friendship Confidential is where I share them: honest stories, practical words for hard conversations, and the reminder that you’re not the only one who finds friendship complicated.

This is a slower, softer corner of the internet. I hope you’ll join me as we discuss the in’s and out’s of friendship, because in my opinion, it’s a topic that can and does affect us at a deep level, Friendship is a subject that is just not talked about enough. So let’s talk.

What I Believe About Friendship

A few truths that guide everything I share here.

Honesty is the kindest thing.

The best friendships can handle real conversations, even the hard ones.

Not every friendship lasts forever, and that’s okay.

Some friends are for a season. Letting go gently and respectfully is a skill, too.

It’s never too late to find your people.

New friendships can bloom at any age and in any season of life.
